ABOUT US
Established in 2016, Ropeworks Active is family owned and run. The outdoor world has given us so much excitement and enjoyment and we see the adventures and experiences we create as a great way of passing that passion on to our visitors.
Our instructor team is made up of enthusiastic and dedicated professionals, who love the outdoors and take real pride in the experiences that they provide.
We plan our sessions to match the abilities and needs of each group; helping individuals to build their confidence, grow their self esteem and improve their well being; all while having fun!
Every acitvity is designed to give you a true taste of the outdoor world; leaving you with lifelong memories and hopefully a newfound passion!.
Meet the Team
As well as being super friendly, dedicated and experts in their field, our team of instructors also includes several first language welsh speakers, meaning we can deliver all our experiences bilingually (as well as help out with the odd translation for visitors!)
Bari - "The Boss"
With more years' experience in the outdoor industry than he'd care to admit - Bari is our lead instructor and one of the founders of Ropeworks Active.
A keen photographer (wildife and astro), if Bari isn't out reaching for that next handhold or the perfect shot...then he's thinking about it.
Alice - Instructor
Our best ambassador for North Wales, Alice loves it so much she decided to move here!
When she's not making sure our visitors have everything they need or out leading a group, Alice loves Scuba, Climbing and Skiing; if its outdoors and adventurous Alice is on it!
Jack - Instructor
Jack has been with Ropeworks Active since he attended our activity club in his teens. Now studying Marine Biology he is one of our key instructors.
When he isn't out adventuring, Jack is usually practising martial arts and likes nothing better than settling down with a cuppa and a good book.
Megan
Millie loves working as an outdoor instructor and since joining Ropeworks Active has embraced Welsh Culture and is learning Welsh!
Now a qualified Mountain Leader she likes nothing more than sharing the great outdoors with our groups.
Rocky the Dog
Rebecca is one of the founders of Ropeworks Active. She is an adventurous spirit and has a lifelong passion for the mountains and the ocean. When not climbing or ocean rowing she is busy looking at how to make Ropeworks Active as sustainable and innovative as she can.
Rocky the Dog
Tux was the original inspiration for the founding of Ropeworks Active. A keen outdoor enthusiast he loves nothing more than to run and play on our site and is always open to the odd treat from our visitors. His main role is to keep Rebecca in line when she is doing admin in the office.
